The Hogwarts Houses founded by Godric Gryffindor, Salazar Slytherin, Rowena Ravenclaw, and Helga Hufflepuff were so divided because the founders believe that each and everyone of us mostly act more often according to some characteristics, and of course these are the characteristics that each house value the most. As we all know Gryffindor values nerves and bravery, Slytherin skills and slyness, Ravenclaw wisdom and singularity, Hufflepuff the hard work and loyalty.
Of course by the way the fact that we decide to act one way or another does not necessarily mean we do not possess the values of the other Houses, just that 9/10 we prefer to act as a Gryffindor or as Ravenclaw, exc.. But for sure means that’s what we’ve chosen.
