The Gryffindors are characterized by chivarly, daring and courage. The Gryffindors are very proud, and for this they could tell not always the truth. Their proudness often bring them to compete with the others, they can’t ammit to anyone and themselves that they can loose. They see themselves as the best of the best, and consider only a few above them. The ones that have the privilege to be upon a Gryffindor are people that are very respected, and for who the Gryffindors would be ready to kill if anyone tries to say anything about them. They are very corageous, but remember that “being brave” not always means to save the poor lady, bravery comes in many forms. They are very extroverted and long-winged, this does not mean they like to talk: in fact when you first meet a Gryffindor he will probably erase a wall of cockiness and arrogance. Which is also a test for those he’s facing, only the few who really understand who’s behind the wall, have the privilege to see the real lion. Once the wall is down the Gryffindors will reveal themselves as the most emotional of the houses. They are very touchy. They can be very calm sometimes but don’t underestimate them the lion is right there ready to jump. What make them angry the most is people who underestimate them, test a Gryffindor and you won’t be disappointed, being placed on a second spot, they must be the best in everything, being judged, they’re perfect! They are very impulsive and tend to explode rapidly. They are also assh…. emh emh I mean, hot-heads, because of their proudness they’ll never tell you “you’re right”, and if they do so, well sign that day on the calendar! They are always right, even if they’re wrong; and for the same reason they’ll persevere what they believe it’s the right thing to do, even if itsn’t. They predilige a very sportive style in dressing, and very rock and roll, leather jackets, Timberlands like shoes, exc..
-Friendship-
Being friend of a Gryffindor will probably be the best thing will happen to you in life. The Gryffindors have a few selected friends, if you have the luck to be one of them know that the Gryffindor will give you ANYTHING. Literally, the lion will be there to laugh with you, sustain you, protect you. They’re very loyal, and get attached easily this doesn’t mean that they’re reckless, they’re very carefull and watch every single move you make. If they see a toe out of line, they immediately take steps back from you. If you are one of the selected, be sure, you’ALWAYS have a place in the Lion’s heart. He’ll never turn the back to you, he will always give you a second chance. But if you’re not between the selected, be careful once the lion walks away he won’t come back.

In their relationship they’re just as in the friendships. Be careful loves one, they are touchy, so they’ll tend to get offended easily, for this reason they might fight a little bit too much. They are very dramatic, they like drama exit, and when they fight they strike to wound. Everything’s lecit in love and war. As in friendship, they’ll give you anything, but be careful: they are very discerning. They’ll expect any kind of attention, because they’ll put you on a silver plate, but they want the same treatment. If they feel like their not the best for you, their lion’ll come to the light, and their competitive-half will start to send you digs to show you who’s really in charge.

The life’s aim of Gryffindor is to leave a sign of their existence in the world. For this reason they’ll choose the careers that allow them to do so. Careers that can bring them to Nobel Price, or citation in some well-known journals. They don’t really care about money, provided that they’ll be remembered.
-Hobby-
They like any kind of challenge, they love to put themselves on proof with new sports and hobbies. They love Horror and Thriller movies they actually find them really relaxing. They do not have a particular favorite sport anything it’s okay, provided that it allow them to prove how much they worth. They play to win, and are very competitive in sports. They love rock and roll music, and everything that gives the adrenaline that flows in their blood a move.
-Perception Of Themselves-
They feel like they are invincible, they need to be involved in anything they can’t stand to be left apart. They often have a very high pain tolerance threshold, even if they’re feeling pain they’ll not show you. They feel perfect, so they are kinda of obsessed with they appearance, and if they need to go in pubblic they’ll do anything to be noticed. They feel like the world warriors, they need to save anyone, they can’t stand unfairness, and would stand for anyone even if he does not worth it. The phrase “not everyone can be saved” does not appear in a Gryffindor vocabulary.
In this article I want to talk you about the main discussed part of the Fantastic Beast – Crimes of Grindelwald film:
This scene. Credence finally free of being who he truly is! There is only one problem… he’s a never existed before Dumbledore’s relatives. But I want to analyze with you, this fatidic Aurelius Dumbledore and calm some waters.
Prefacing that we need to WAIT ALL THE FIVE FILMS before drawing conclusions, the revelation of Aurelius Dumbledore had thrown many dust on J.K. reputation, because we well know that in the books (the 7th to be accurate), it’s written that Albus Dumbledore only have two sibilings: Ariana and Aberforth. But there are some things that if you take a closer look at it, you may notice that it might be not as it seems.
Rowling has always been towards Harry Potter very accurate, she has always been precise, and never let escape details. So I found strange that she had made a HUGE mistake like this. Taking a closer look I noticed this:

Do you notice something? Well they have chosen the same actor they had chosen in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows! Why do that? In the Deathly Hallows we only see Grindelwald for a few scene, for a total of 1 minute? We hear talk about him a lot! But we can’t really associate his name to a face. Except for the book Hermione’s reading in the Horcrux’s search: “The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore”, and for the photo in the house of Bathilda Bagshot. Not to talk about a young Dumbledore who can only be seen in the book, for a few seconds.
So why being accurate with such a lowest detail, and then commit a HUGE mistake like “creating” a new Dumbledore’s sibiling
2. We all know Dumbledore as a character a little bit, what can I say… selfish? We’ve been noticing it since he used his friends and family as baits. And since Abeforth doesn’t describe him as such a lovely brother.
“My brother as sacrificed a lot of things on his way to the top. Including Ariana.” -Aberforth Dumbledore
So there is this scene where he’s talking to Newt and he tells him “If Credence has a younger brother or sister he could still be saved!” (From the Obscurior). So why if Dumbledore knew Credence was his brother, would have he wished his Obscurior to take one of his younger sibilings? Which moreove we surely know he doesn’t have anymore?
3. Other scene. In the final scene, we hear Grindelwald telling Credence “And while your brother is joyful for your sufference, and is trying to destroy you..” STOP. Wait what? Dumbledore’s not trying to destroy Credence. Is trying to help him. He doesn’t want to kill him, he want to save him from the Obscurior before it’s too late. I think this would be his personal revenge for what happened to Ariana.
4. Grindelwald already has lied once to Credence, in the first Fantastic Beasts remember? He told there was noting he could have done for him. He wasn’t strong enough. He was a Squib, and he would’ve never learn any kind of magic. Now he even give him a wand? What kind of mind change Grindelwald!
I think here there are a few things. First: Grindelwald CANNOT fight Dumbledore because of the blood pact, so obviously he need an alternative way to destroy him. And he knows Dumbledore’s looking for Credence too, so I think he was just trying to get Credence on his side. And which better way than telling him that his own brother has known about him all this time and he had never told him anything. And what more now is trying to kill him. I think Grindelwald is trying to use Credence to fight Dumbledore to create a sort of weapon against him, and to reveal the magic world. He knows Credence can’t really control his powers, yes now he can channel his powers, but still can’t control them. I think that Queenie also is a part of the plan, to gain Credence trust and to catch up on Dumbledore.
5. We still don’t know if Aurelius Dumbledore is a brother of Albus. It could just be a relative. In fact Grindelwald tells him: “I give you back your name Aurelius Dumbledore”. The only reference he makes to a “certain” brother, is the one “your brother is trying to kill you”. But as I said I think Grindelwald made that up, for what I explained in point 3 and 4.
The only thing I can’t really connect is why has credence a Phoenix? Is he really a Dumbledore? But a strong wizard as Grindelwald can’t afford a phoenix? Or maybe as I just said he’s a Dumbledore, but just a relative.

Who Credence? Yeah it could be. But not banished from Kendra and Percival Dumbledore. They loved their children. Remember we are talking about a witch who died to protect her daughter, and a man who went and died in Azkaban just because three muggles attacked Ariana. Seriously? These two could have ever banished Credence? I don’t think so.

Ariana? Possibily. But also Leta wasn’t exactly happy last time I saw her.

7. Remember the half-elf? Why was she killed?
There is this scene under this kind of bridge, where there are Grindelwald and the Auror: Gunnar Grimsson, the half-elf’s killer. And he’s reporting Gellert, that he’s done his job, even if he’s worried because the Minister wanted him to kill Credence, instead he choose to protect Credence as Grindelwald asks him.
And what a coincidence: Irma Dugard, was THE ONLY ONE who could have given Credence the answers. Even though now we know for sure that she was the nanny of Corvus Lestrange, and that Credence was changed when he was just a baby in the cradle.
8. Credence’s Aunt
The woman who was travelling with Credence on the boat, was his aunt. It is known that Percival Dumbledore had a sister, Honoria. It could be that she was travelling with her nephew, but it could also be that she was travelling with her son, this would made of Credence the cousin of Dumbledore.
In the ending I firmly believe in Rowling’s power. She does know us better than anyone, and in my opinion she knew that a heat-shock like this would have caused such a odissey. I believe in the next film we’ll begin to see a little bit clearer.

Maybe the most wanted Deathly Hallow, made of Elder and Thestral’s hair was stole from Gregorovich from Grindelwald. After Dumbledore will defeat him in duel, he will possess its loyalty, until Draco Malfoy will disarm Albus Dumbledore in the Astronomy tower. Harry Potter will subsequently disarm Draco in Malfoy’s manor, winning the wand loyalty.

Regarding the physical possession of the wand there are many hands who have holden it: Antioch Pervell, his killer, Emeric the Evil a very aggressive wizard (it’s unknown if the wand has been possessed by someone before him) who was slaughter at the end of a duel against Egbert the Eregious. Was subsequently gained by Godelot who used the power of the Wand to write Magick Moste Evil a book which contain various informations about Dark Arts, including references to Horcrux. He will die imprisoned in a cell, where his son put him in order to master the wand: Hereward. Succeded by Barbanas Deverill who brought a reign of terror with the wand, until it passed in Loxias’s hand; who used the one to kill anyone who displeased him, he was eventually killed by Arcus and Livius, the reason was that Loxias believed one of them was the next master of the Wand. It’s not clear who of the two gained the wand, what is known is that the next successor was Gregorovich, who was robbed by Grindelwald who cast a Stunning Spell on Gregorovich, to full aquire the power of the Wand. Dumbledore wins the wand, and its loyalty, in the duel against Grindelwald becoming his master. When Snape will kill him, he’ll be burried with it. Voldemort will steal the wand from his grave, and will lately kill Snape believing him his last owner. Instead was Draco who disarmed Dumbledore in the tower, and when Harry disarmed Draco at Malfoy’s manor, he won the wand loyalty. When he’ll defeat eventually Voldemort, he’ll win the wand and will destroy it, well aware of the potential, but also of the peril.
Albus Percival Wulfrick Brian Dumbledore was born in the summer of 1881 to Kendra and Percival Dumbledore in the village of Mould-on-the-Wold. He has two younger sibilings, Aberforth and Ariana. His life was never easy, when he was young he lives the tragedy of her sister Ariana, attacked by three muggles, who seeing her pratcising magic and not understanding, got scared. This destroied Ariana, leaving her deeply signed, this will bring her to suppress her powers, and exploding in random events, mostly brutals.
Percival was led to madness by this, in fact he attacked the three muggles, and was after brought to Azkaban prison, where’ll die years later. Kendra and the three children, were forced to leave the village to escape the accusing eyes of the magical community, they’ll end up in Godric’s Hollow where’ll now Bathilda Bagshot. Albus from now on will become a very reserved person, not only for his father story, but also for the pitful conditions of Ariana.
Ariana Dumbledore
He’ll attend Hogwarts in the autumn of 1892, and he’ll be sorted in Gryffindor, and he’ll develop the patronus of a phoenix. He’ll at first be target of some prejudices for what his father have done, in fact many fellows classmates will believe that Dumbledore hated muggles just like his father. Instead he’ll from the first moment demonstrate his unsual kindness, getting closer to a young Elphias Doge, who was at the time bearing the aftermaths of Greenish skin and Pockmarks, for this reason no one would want to get close to him. But Dumbledore seemed to see like always, the good in people beyond their past or appereance.
He’ll have a normal school decourse, nor exceptional in fact on his fourth year he’ll accidentally set his four-poster bed on fire, even if his magical skills were clear from the beginning, at some point a professor will declare that
“By the end of his first year, he would never again be known as the son of a Muggle-hater, but as nothing more or less than the most brilliant student ever seen at the school.”
He’ll make such noble friends like: Nicholas Flamel, Bathilda Bagshot, Griselda Marchbanks. He’ll achieve Barnabus Finkley Price for Exceptional Spell-Casting, became the British Youth Representative to the Wizengamot and recieve the Gold Medal for Ground-Breaking Contribution to the international Alchemical Conference. He was even made Prefect, and subsequently Head Boy.
Graduated at Hogwarts, he and Doge will plan a world tour, which will go to dust, because the day before leaving Kendra will be killed by Ariana who had one of her magical outburst accidents. Dumbledore full of bitterness and sadness, left with two brother to raise came back in Godric’s Hollow, where he’ll finally face a bit of luck in Gellert Grindelwald. Just as talented as Dumbledore, he was there looking for the Deathly Hallows; Dumbledore becomes immediately affascinated with the idea of “wizarding domination”, and becomes obsessed with the Deathly Hallows himself. Their relationship grewfaster and they soon became unseparable, Dumbledore started to have feeling for him, they even stipulated a blood path where they swore not to fight each other, never.

But the true nature of Grindelwald fastly come to light, one day Dumbledore was having a go on his younger brother Aberforth, because he was telling him that he shouldn’t spent so much time with Grindelwald, he was negletting Ariana, and she needed him. Even if Dumbledore doesn’t want to hear the truth a part of him knows he’s right, so they start arguing, Grindelwald cast the Cruciatus curse on Aberforth, Ariana will try to stop them, causing a dreadful event: her dead. Strucked by one of the casting spells.

Dumbledore will died in pain and regret, but Aberforth will never know how much he was suffering, and he’ll continue to blame him for her death for years, he’ll even punch Dumbledore breaking his nose, at Ariana’s funeral. After this dreadful ending, Dumbledore will come back to Hogwarts to teach Defense Against The Dark Arts, under the presidency of Phineas Nigellus Black, in the 1910’s he will teach Newt Scamander and Leta Lestrange’s classrom, and when Newt will be expelled years later because he took the blame for Leta when one of her experiments with Javery went wrong putting in danger another student’s life, he will oppose strongly, but there’ll nothing he’ll can do. Newt will be expelled.

In 1938 he’ll rescue from Wool’s Orphanage: Tom Riddle. In 1943 when he became Transfiguration teacher, several muggle-born students were petrified, one of whom killed: Myrtle Warren. Even if Dumbledore suspected from the first moment that Riddle was behind the attacks, another young Gryffindor boy was accused: Rubeus Hagrid. In the meanwhile Grindelwald still at large was bulding up an army, to find THE deathly Hallow: the elder wand. Made of Elder and Thestral Hair, 15′ inches, was consider the most potent wand in the world. He later used it to terrorized the European continent. Dumbledore was asked to fight Grindelwald but not only he couldn’t because of the blood path, but he was even scared that he might know the truth about the spell that killed Ariana, and who had cast it. In 1945 this blood path was abolished and he finally managed to fight and defeat Grindelwald, who was imprisoned for life in Numengard prison. This put an end at the Global-Wizarding War, and guaranteed Dumbledore as award the Order Of Merlin (First Class).

Back to Hogwarts as teacher, he was made Headmaster between 1965 and 1971, succeding Armando Dippet. As one of his first tasks he was approached by Tom Riddle, known only as Lord Voldemort, who asked Dumbledore to be admitted at Hogwarts as teacher of Defence Against the Dark Arts. Even though Dumbledore was not aware of the actions of Tom after the graduation, he still denied his application. This was what brought Tom to hate the charge of Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, cursing it, and preventing anyone to keep that place for more than one year. If he couldn’t have that position, nobody could.
Even as headmaster Dumbledore showed his greatness, he immediately accepted any kind of student with distinctions: mud-blood, pure-blood, and werewolf as Remus Lupin. The latter was in fact afraid of not can be admitted in Hogwarts because of his nature, he was previously infected by Fenrir Greyback ,another werewolf death eater, when he was only a child, he find instead a home at Hogwarts. He allowed Remus to use the Shrieking Shack as safe place for his monthly transformations.
He founded later the Order of Phoenix to fight Lord Voldemort in the First Wizarding War. He’ll be witness of the prediction of Sybill Trelawney, in fact he was testing her as teacher of Divination when she went in trans revealing the prophecy about Harry Potter:
“The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches… born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies… and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not… and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives… the one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies….“
Severus Snape who in that moment was present heard part of the profecy and ws ejected from the tavern by Aberforth, this was the reason why Dumbledore decided to assume her, to protect her from the Death Eaters. Snape told immediately the prophecy he had heard to Lord Voldermort, who will understand the boy the prophecy is talking about is Harry Potter, the son of Lily and James Potter. Snape will subsequently regret his choice, because he’s in love with Harry’s mother, and he’ll become a spy for Dumbledore in exchange of his protection, he’ll also ask him to protect Lily Potter. He will suggest the Potter to use the Fidelius Charm, but they’ll replace their trust in the wrong person Peter Pettigrew who will betray them.
At the death of the Potter’s, Dumbledore discovered that James was possessing the Cloak of Invisibility, already possessing the other two Deathly Hallows this made him a Master of Death. He will take care of bringing Harry to the Dursley, even if they were the worst muggle race in the world, Voldemort could do no harm to Harry as long as he staied with blood-relativies, because of the the spell he placed. That night Voldemort lost his powers, nd the First-Wizarding War endend, but many members of the Order of Phoenix remained killed or worse, as Alice and Frank Longbottom, Neville’s parents. They were driven crazy by Cruciatus Curse they’ve been inflicted by Belatrix Lestrange and Barty Crouch Jr.
In the years after when Harry will join Hogwarts, Dumbledore get closer and closer to the boy, and protect him everyway he can. He cannot find the strenght in fact, to tell him about the prophecy. There will be many times in which Dumbledore gets close to Harry, they becomes more than friend, and Dumbledore becomes a sort of father for Harry. Even if he loves him, he’s still a reserved man, and many times he lies to Harry, he tells him in the Mirror of Erised sees himself holding socks but instead he sees himself with his family. In the year the plan of Voldemort becomes clearer, the next year he introduces Harry to Fawkes, his phoenix, which will help Harry in the destruction of Tom Riddle’s diary, here Dumbledore start to understand the Horcruxes, which become his aim. He will always be on Harry’s side, in the third year, Harry understand that Sirius Black is innocent and so is Buckbeack, and Dumbledore tells him and Hermione how to reach them and save them with a Timeturner. When during the Triward-Tournament Harry’s name appear in the Goblet Of Fire, Dumbledore will be very concerned about Harry but still he’ll let him take part, to understand the events. Here once again we see the dark side of Dumbledore, a man who was only intersted in his aims, offering Harry as bait. The cup turn out to be a port key which’ll lead Harry to Voldemort, who will use him to resuscitate, with the help of Peter Pettingrew. When Harry starts telling anyone Voldemort is back only a few will support him, and Dumbledore will be accused by the Ministry of conspiracy.
This will alarm Dumbledore, aware of the connection between Harry and Voldemort, he will try to detach himself from Harry, believing that this will lead Voldemort not to be tempt to read and upset Harry’s mind. That summer Harry and his cousin are attacked by two dementors, Harry cast Patronus Charm to defeat himself, but still being underage he’ll be expelled. Dumbledore managed to suspend the case, and goes to Wiengamot to defend Harry at his trial, the ministry re-admitted Harry at school but convinced that Albus wants his place, he placed Dolores Umbridge, undesecretary as high-inquisitor of Hogwarts and Defence Against the Dark Arts Teacher. She’ll prevent her students to learn any defense charm, because the Ministry thinks Dumbledore made up Voldemort return only to steal his charge. This will bring the student to form an illegal organization: Dumbledore’s Army; where they could exercise and learn defensive charms. This organization is caught by Umbridge, and her and the Ministry think it’s just the final proof Dumbledore wants his job, so they try to arrest him, but he manged to flee through Fawkes. Umbridge is made headmaster, in the meantime Dumbledore turned out to be wrong, Voldemort make Harry sees his Godfather being tortured in the Department of Misteries, he and some members of Dumbledore’s Army promptly leave to save him. But unfortunately, it turned out to be only a trap, in order to catch the prophecy Sybill had made years before. The duell between Dumbledore’s Army and the Death Eaters ends tragically, Harry looses his Godfather. The Minister is able to see Voldemort, and cannot dent further his return. Dumbledore come back at Hogwarts as Headmaster, and can no long precluding Harry from knowing the truth so he tells him everything about the prophecy.

The following year Dumbledore finally leaves the idea of staying away from Harry, and involving him in his search for horcruxes. He find out he already got two: Tom Riddle’s Diary, and Tom Riddle’s Mom Ring from which he’ll get the curse at his hand. He shows him the memory of Horace Slughorn, telling Voldemort about Horcrux and persuade him to ask Professor Slughorn the true memory. Understood what they’re facing, they leave for a cave in which should be one, the Gaunt’s Locket. They find it at a bottom of an enchanted basin, fill with water which must be drunk. Dumbledore offers himself to drink it, and become extremly weak, he still managed after to defeat the Inferis, dead bodies that have been bewitched from the Dark Lord. They later re-apparate in the astronomy tower, where Dumbledore tells Harry to go to wake up Smape, but as soon as Harry leave Dumbledore finds himself facing Draco Malfoy, who have been charged by the Dark Lord to kill Dumbledore. Draco won’t be able to do it, and Snape will kill Dumbledore instead.

After his death Dumbledore had a huge funeral, with all the kind of people and creatures, even merepeople came to great an immense wizard. He was burried in a white marm tomb, with his Elder wand. Fawkes after his death, will leave Hogwarts forever. Is portrait was being placed in the headmaster’s studio as all the predecessors. He will be substituted by Snape.

Scrimgour will reach the Burrow that summer to read Dumbledore’s will: he left to Hermione his copy of Tales of Beadle the Bard, to Ron his deluminator, and to Harry the snitch he first catch in a quidditch game, inside of which he had hidden the Resurrection Stone and the Sword of Gryffindor.

He later will appear in Harry’s mind to help him to come back after Voldemort cast him the Avada Kedavra curse.
The other main point of the discussions, was the change of side of Queenie, Jacob’s sweet half. Of course we would have never thought that, she always seeemed so lovely! Queenie is a witch, sister of Tina Goldenstein an Auror who works for M.A.C.U.S.A. , she’s in love with Jacob, but can’t marry him nor see him because in America still goes on the law that witches and muggles can’t stay together. She’s crazy deeply in love with Jacob, but the pressure of not be able to marry him, and her sister working for the Ministry, brings her first to enchant Jacob, and bring him in London where the law is different, and where they could have a chance of getting married. But when she sees he doesn’t want to, not because he doesn’t love her, but because he wants protect her she looses her mind. She flees trying to go look after Tina, who’s in Paris. Being Queenie a Legilimens, and being overwhelmed by a lot of emotions she loose the control of her power and becomes knock out by all the thoughts of the Paris’s citiziens. There she’s approached by one of the Grindelwald’s fellows: Vinda Rosier.
There she meets Grindelwald, and even if at first she scared of him, on a second thought she start believing that if witches and wizards can be free, she’ll be free to stay with Jacob.
On the other side, there’s only a reason why Grindelwald tried and accomplished to bring Queenie on his side: her power. Being Dumbledore a Legilimens himself, he needed one on his side to catch up.
There have been many disputes about Fantastic Beast – Crimes Of Grindelwald because of the many inconsistencies we can’t connect to our favourite books. Thus I firmly belive in J.K. Rowling, and I seriously doubt she would have just commit some mistakes like those she has been accused of lately. In these posts, we’ll examine together some of the scenes, and try to find answers, obviously well aware we must wait all five the films to understand completely.
The first scene I want to talk you about is Dumbledore looking in the mirror of Erised, many disputes were soared, because in the mirror you should see the deepest and purest dreams of your heart, instead Dumbledore seems to live a memory: he and Grindelwald stipulating the blood pact.
But if we go through the appereance we can see that Dumbledore is not just re-living that moment, but his wish is to come back to that moment. As we well know, Rita Skeeter in “Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore”, will reveal his love for his friend Grindelwald, and his struggle when he’ll find out who he really was. It’s clear that Dumbledore probably wants to come back to that moment for many reasons: he wishes he’d never stipulated that pact to be able to fight Grindewald. He wishes they’re still friends and close like in that moment, and mostly he wanted to come back to have the chance to save his sister Ariana, died a few years earlier in a duel against Grindelwald himself.
