Despite the Covid situation that shot down the entire world, including the Wizardring World, Eddie Redmayne confirms that Fantastic Beasts 3 is now shooting, and he’ll rejoin his co-star: Johnny Deep, Jude Law, Erza Miller, Katherine Waterston.

While the first film was an authentic massive hit, the sequel faced critical and commercial disappointment. This likely prompted the initial production delays of the third film, aside with the critical pandemic situation.
We were meant to start – we’d done a pre-shoot day just before we went into lockdown here. We’d shot on a Friday night, and then on the Sunday night, we’d meant to start shooting proper on Monday, and we got a call on that Sunday night saying we’re not doing it. Then we had this six-month period and, absolutely, the creatives – certainly David Yates and [myself] – were talking about using that time. Whether it was in the visual effects or working on things. I think it’s really important. You’re always trying to make the best work possible, so I feel like it has been helpful in some ways.
-Eddie Redmayne
In some ways according to Eddie Redmayne, the lockdown was helpful to think even more about the script, the scenes, the details, with a film that has a weight like this, you accept all the extra time given. Mostly after the several critics received by fans after the sequel, regarding some so said “holes in the plot”, which we discussed them abundantly here.
The title is still unknown even if several theories are out including the ones from the actors theirselves, Fantastic Beasts 3 is scheduled to hit theaters on November 12, 2021, it’s still unclear where the production will shoot the film due to the pandemic situation, at the moment it’s taking place in the UK, but there are rumours which suggest that some scene may be taking place in Berlin, or Rio de Janeiro.

I personally can’t wait to see the movie, can you?
