Three years after death of Alan Rickman, the fan still commemorate the actor mostly known for his role as Severus Piton in Harry Potter. Countless the fans that still remember him, and that wanted to give him a greeting on January 14th, the date of his departure. At the age of only 69 years old, he left a hole in the film production, as an amazing actor he was, and above all a hole in the heart of his Potterheads.

Most touching of all the memories about Alan we found his “Farewell Lecter” written at the end of the days of shooting, of Harry Potter and The Deathly Allows Part Two, the letter has been published on April 26th 2011 in the Empire Magazine by the same Rickman:

I have just returned from the dubbing studios where I spoke into a microphone as Severus Snape for absolutely the last time. On the screen were some flashback shots of Daniel, Emma, and Rupert from ten years ago. They were 12. I also recently returned from New York and while I was there, I saw Daniel signing and dancing (brilliantly) on Broadway. A lifetime seems to have passed in a minute.
Three children have become adults since a phone call with Jo Rowling, containing one small clue, persuaded me that there was more to Snape than an unchanging costume, and that even though only three of the books were out at that time, she held the entire massive but delicate narrative in the surest of hands.
It is an ancient needs to be told stories. But the story needs a great storyteller. Thanks for all of it Jo.
Alan Rickman
