In a recent interview for IGN Ezra Miller, Credence in Fantastic Beasts, described how he went to know who really he was. He was on a bus with the producer David Heyman, and when David tells him that he’s going to reveal him his real name, he went crazy because like everyone of us, being Ezra a huge fan of Harry Potter, couldn’t wait to know the truth, it was even before the exit of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, it was the 2016.
He had to keep this secrets for more than two years, all alone. So David reveal him he’s Dumbledore brother, and at first Ezra he’s euforic, and shocked. He asked “Am I Aberforth?”, and David “Uh? Oh yes yes”, but on a second moment he’s like “wait, how does my accent become British? How does my eyes will become blue? That just make no sense”, and David reply “that’s all I can tell for now”.
The first time it was a competlely misunderstanding, because of the noises on the bus.
So the first time he had seen J.K. Rowling the mother of all of this, he’d not let his chance go, and he approached her to discuss the details of his character. He asked her how he’s going to get a British accent, and how come that last time we perfectly know where Abeforth came from, and now he’s a lost brother? J.K.’s like “Did David tell you this? You’re not Aberforth. You’re Aurelius.”
At this point Ezra’s amazement reached the stars, and he asked her who this was, he’d never heard about this brother nor in book nor in any place, and she goes “Nobody knows about him but me, darling, and you now.”.
Is Aurelius the result of an extrafamiliar affair, or is he really Dumbledore’s sibiling? We still don’t know, what we know for sure is that J.K. Rowling thought about everything this time as always, we only need to wait to find out what her beautiful mind have produced.
